The Department of Transportation Services provides shuttle, charter, paratransit, NITE Ride and taxi services to the University of Maryland College Park campus through Shuttle-UM, the branch of the department responsible for transit operations. This branch operates approximately 19 transit routes, many of which extend into neighboring communities. Charter services offer the UMD community reasonable transportation options, while paratransit services help members of the community with temporary or permanent disabilities to get around campus.
