To apply for a parking permit you will need your student identification number and your PIN number. A student’s initial Personal Identification Number or PIN is set to their 6-digit birth date. (For example, a student with a birth date of June 21, 1976 would have the pin 062176). This number must be changed the first time you access online services. Also, use this feature to change your PIN if you feel the security of the number has been compromised.

Motorcyclists: Students who use a motorcycle as their primary vehicle may register for a free motorcycle decal. You may not register for a hanging permit with a lot assignment, but may purchase a bundle pack of 10 permits for the cost of $25 for parking in lots 6 or 4 on those days when you need to drive a vehicle other than your motorcycle.
Graduate Assistants may elect to have their parking permit fee for an annual student permit, payroll deducted on a pre-tax basis. (Fall Only permits are not included in this program.) Since parking registration begins in April and the graduate assistant approved appointments will not be available to DOTS until two weeks before the first day of classes, all graduate students who believe they will be Graduate Assistants in Fall 2008 may select this method of payment. When DOTS confirms that a student is a Graduate Assistant, an adjustment will be made to their SAR and payroll deduction will begin. The payroll deduction amount will be $10.65 for commuters, $20.60 for resident students for twenty pay periods. The SAR will be charged for any missed deductions. For those graduate students who do not become Graduate Assistants, the parking fee will be charged to their student account.
BASKETBALL RESTRICTIONS
Commuter students who register for a parking permit for lots 11, 9, 6, 4 or students who park in Lot 4 as an overflow lot must move their vehicle to lot 1 three to six hours prior to the scheduled tip off time of home basketball games. Failure to move your vehicle within the specified times will result in your vehicle being ticketed, which is a $75 fine and then towed, which is an $80 fee.
Resident students, all levels, who are assigned to either lots 11, 6 or 4b must move your vehicle to Lot 1 three to six hours prior to start of all home basketball games. Failure to move your vehicle within the specified times will result in your vehicle being ticketed, which is a $75 fine and then towed, which is an $80 fee.
If you have an academic commitment that affects your ability to move your car on a specific game day as outlined above, it is imperative that you provide documentation to our office so that we may offer you options for that game. We will only make exceptions if your academic commitment does not allow you to move your car within the window of time noted above. We will only make exceptions if you provide the documentation prior to the day of the game. Exceptions will not be made the day of the game or any time after the game.
REQUEST FOR A PARKING AREA CHANGE
Requests for a change in your lot assignment must be completed in the DOTS office. You must bring your current permit and your student ID with you.
SMART PARK CARPOOL PROGRAM FOR COMMUTER STUDENTS
